Speaking

I didn’t set out to make a blooper reel when speaking at a well-respected conference.

And yet sometimes life delivers unexpected opportunities, like when I discovered in the first five minutes of my talk that the audio from a neighboring speaker was accidentally being fed into my room.

Watch this clip to see how I handled it—it’s probably the truest sense you can get of who you hire when you hire me to speak:

If you want to see highlights from a more polished version of a similar talk (different event, no unexpected interruptions), try this one:

Speaking to make a difference

In the last decade, I have had the privilege of speaking to executives, leaders, and teams throughout the U.S. and Canada, as well as in Mexico, Brazil, Europe, Russia, and the Asia Pacific regionlive and via webinar/webcast.

I’m always humbled when audience members say my keynotes are articulate, thought-provoking, and entertaining. That’s precisely what I aim for.

“Andrea, it was really a pleasure having you speak at our conference. Of all the speakers we had that day, more than 10, you clearly generated the most ‘buzz’! I got several compliments for having you there on the day and again during an All Hands meeting the next day. People were touched by your message and effective delivery. Even before the conference was ended, a number of the follow on speakers made impromptu references to the issues and message you so ably presented in the early afternoon” —Gregory Linden, The MITRE Corporation
