Mike Hutchins

I am a recovering accountant who is passionate about helping leaders discover strengths they never knew they had.

I love it when the leaders I work with see a situation completely differently. My clients say I help make it easier for them to go places within themselves they know they need to go, but would probably never go alone.

Before making the transition to the world of coaching and leadership development, I spent 20 years consulting internationally, including 12 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG in the UK.

I love it when the leaders I work with see a situation completely differently.

I managed large organizational change programs for clients such as Vodafone, Cemex and Wolseley, and worked in a whole slough of industries: Telecoms, Automotive, Logistics and Distribution, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare and Financial Services to name a few.

Credentials-wise, I have a BA in Economics from the University of Manchester. I’m a CPA/Chartered Accountant and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. In 2013 I became a Certified Co-Active Coach. I am also certified in The Leadership Circle Profile™ 360 Assessment tool.

I have a passion for traveling, and have taken lengthy sabbaticals in South America, India and South Asia. I’ve been lost in the Amazon (not recommended!) and danced salsa in Cuba, Argentina, and Colombia, where I learned Spanish and a little more about life.

When I’m not working you can find me visiting Mum and Dad in Great Britain, spending time with my beautiful wife Erin at home near Washington, DC, and performing improv and stand-up comedy whenever someone will let me up on stage. I also have a house tucked away in the French Pyrenees, which I offer to friends seeking nature time (and great red wine).

My Get Real Services

I specialize in coaching clients on specific ways to apply what they have learned in our signature programs. I’ve also been known to lead an improv comedy segment or two.

What Clients are Saying

“Mike had a tough role–transitioning services away from people who would ultimately lose their jobs. He genuinely cared about what he was doing and how it helped or affected people. Mike was well respected and everyone involved with the program had a high opinion of his work and attitude.”

Simon Jebson, Central Europe Shared Services Director, Wolseley plc
